I have been busy making cards and acordian albums..but I took no pics before I brought them to the store..sorry! I hope to do some layouts later today and get them uploaded to share!

Well we are on our way to memorizing the apostles' creed. Since we just joined in on Saturday today was our first day on it. First I made copies of the creed and placed them on our bulletin board which hangs in my dining room, the bathroom door, (yes lots of time is spent in the bathroom and this could be time well spent in memorizing!) I also gave each child a sheet to put in his school binder. I have one by the kitchen sink on an index card for me.
Here is what we are memorizing this week

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord:

I have highlighted the lines on our sheets. I have 3 boys at different stages of learning to read to we will be using this for our reading as well. Learning the new words, what they mean and how to spell them. My older girls and myself will also be memorizing some verses from Romans....I just have not had time to pick them out yet...

Did you know October was mega memory month? Well I did not either until I read about it on Ann Kroekers Blog. You can check out the post here. So I have decided that we will participate as a family.
This month our church is having a reformation day celebration and as a family we will be studying Martin Luther. So I have picked the Apostles' Creed for our memorization piece. Remember I have ages 2 up to 14 so I wanted something that even the little guys could do...I might have us older ones add some scripture memory onto that..we'll see. Please go visit Ann's post as it has some great resources for how to memorize.

Well the air is crisp and getting colder every day! And we have been enjoying these days outside because before long winter will be here! We found a new hiking trail down by the river and the other day the kids took their bikes down there and I put the 2 little guys in the jogging stroller. It's about a 3 mile trail and we had a great time enjoying the changing scenery....everything is starting to turn fast now...we live in such a beautiful part of the country!!

I have been wanting to make one of these banners for a while.......so the kids and I have been working on gratitude and being thankful in all things and I made this banner to remind us. I am going to hang it over my mirror in the dining room. I'm really happy with how it turned out and I am thinking of making another one for Christmas.I used scenic route papers...love those owls!! Alot of rubons that I had as left overs from other kits...american crafts buttons and misc brads and bazzill paper flowers and prima flowers. The journaling box was a bonus from the sketch io2 class and is made by janna.
