Yarn Along......
5:22 PM
Joining Ginny over at Small Things for this weeks Yarn Along........what are you knitting and reading this week?
This week I was not as productive in the knitting department.....but this past Saturday was my birthday and I did knit up a warm squishy seed stitch cowl in bulky baby alpaca wool.....just for me! I love how it came out and it was soooo fast and easy! The perfect knit for a quick present for oneself!!!
I am still reading The Power of a Praying Wife taking it slow and really applying it! It's a good read for sure! I hope to finish a couple projects that are lingering on the needles this upcoming week...freeing me up to begin some new projects! We'll see how it goes! Happy knitting!

I have to say, this is the first cowl I have seen in quite a while that I really, really like. I'm usually not that big a fan of them, but your stitches just came out so beautifully even!

I am wondering why I have not done any seed stitches in a while. Wonderful work. So good to gift yourself with it!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful cowl!!! You look lovely!
ReplyDeleteBelated happy birthday! Saturday was my birthday also. Lovely cowl, I've never tried seed stitch but it looks like it gives a lovely texture to the knitting. Just wanted to say 'Thanks', I discovered Amazima via your blog a few weeks ago and have since bought Katies Book; amazing lady.
ReplyDeletebeautiful! and happy happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteOh my, is there anything sweeter than this pic of your little cutie?! From the tips of her little shoes to the top of her cupcake hat, she is so precious. Her dress is so feminine and a wonderful heirloom.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter was 15 lbs. at one year of age. It was difficult to find clothing to fit her waaaaaaaaaay back then before baby clothes were made in the teeney sizes they now are.
