I have been taking my picture a day faithfully but had not decided how I was going to do my album for project 365. I know that I needed to make it easy and doable so I can keep up and get it done. I started thinking about doing it all digi and came across this great blog....Yeah! This is my solution. I am going to get these templates..designed just for project 365 and do a digi album in 12x12. I figure once a week I can make time to do that weeks pics and journaling. I was going to put together my own template but this is much easier!! I'm hoping to work on the last 2 weeks in the next few days and then I will post them!!
many hands to help in the kitchen
Homemade glazed doughnuts....mmmmmm!
cuddling with a sleepy two year old

a new year full of promise
being able to stay at home, love and teach my children and give them the foundation that they need to go out and do their God given mission....

whispers of love in my ear from sleepy 5 year old....
I am so very blessed!!
So I was browsing around this morning and found this neat new site....looks like a great one that I will be keeping an eye on.....and check out the digi files.. for just $5 you can sample a bunch of designers work and if you buy before Jan. 22 you will be eligible to win loads of extra prizes!!!
I have not been doing many digi pages lately with my hard drive crashing and having to re organize all my kits in acdsee.....note to self....I really need to do that!!! Maybe today since it is only -14 degrees out and a good day to sit by the woodstove and stay warm!!
I alos heard about this great site that has amazing daily offers of one item....check them out!
peachycheap.com......
Well I'm off to get a cup of tea...I think my pic for project 365 today will be the thermometer that says -14 on it!!! Stay Warm!!!

Well I might be asking for trouble but I decided to dive in to PROJECT 365.....a picture a day. I thought it would be easy because I take loads of pics every day.....but now I have to take a pic to represent that day and journal about it......I can do this!!! It will be so cool to have an album of our whole year...so I am making it a priority!!
Another priority this year is organization!!! I am tired of feeling behind....of not getting to scrap from my heart because I need to scrap this event or that first....well, no more! I am taking the Library of Memories class with Stacy Julian over at Big Picture Scrapbooks. It starts in February and I can't wait to get going!! Woo Hoo!! Organized and never behind....I can't wait!!
I was just over at Faith Sisters and if you are looking for some awesome challenges you must jump over there and check them out!!! There are so many I don't know what ones I want to do. I would do them all but just don't have the time.... So check them out!! Faith Sisters

Well, I have not had time to post this week....but last weekend I was able to get down to my good friends house for a crop!!! I had such fun...it's been ages since I went to a crop (so much easier to crop at home since all my stuff is here!!) But Ella has just as much wonderful "stuff" as I do and she loves to share so....off I went and here are the layouts I got done.
It was so good to chat and crop and just catch up......I stayed over night and Ella even made me breakfast the next morning.....Yum!! I was spoiled!!
"But the truly happy people are those who carefully study God's perfect law that makes people free, and they continue to study it.
They do not forget what they heard, but they obey what God's teaching says.
Those who do this will be made happy."

I have been making plans and reading.....how can we make a better effort at getting Gods word into our families day.....into our heads our minds our hearts? Every year I make plans and we always seem to fall short in this area. We start off strong and somewhere mid year the memorizing gets pushed to the side as we try to get those other "things" done. But God tells us this is the most important thing!! Hiding His word in our hearts....so we are purposing to be strong in this and make it our #1 priority this year. To me it is much more important that my children have His word dwelling and living within them then them memorizing what the world says is important. This sermon by John Piper is fantastic......watch it and see if it does not move you to action!
If my words abide in you
Some helpful things we are using to keep us going .....
Tim Challies is hosting memorizing scripture together over at Challies.com every Sunday he sends out an email with a new verse for the week. There is also a longer portion of scripture to memorize over the month and he gives goood tips on how to memorize and review. We have been doing this as a family for over a month now and it is helping to keep us focused.
I also found this neat way to help you memorize those longer portions of scripture. It has been working well for me and Brian......the kids seem to be able to memorize so much faster than us....a sign of our age maybe???
And so I continue my new year concentrating on my FOCUS......may it glorify God!!

Wow! I took alot more time off from blogging then I thought I would....my hard drive crashed!! But all is well now and I do have some things I've been wanting to post about!
The New Year is upon us and with it comes thoughts of what I want to accomplish this year. I've been taking inventory I guess and praying about what God would have me be about this year. I have picked a word to guide me as I begin this new year. If you check out Ali's blog you will see lots of people picking words to guide them this year.
As I prayed about what word I would choose I really felt like this year needed to be about
FOCUS
So often in my busy life I feel like I am always trying to fit God into what is going on....squeezing Him in here and oh remember to make room for God there....
Really what I want and need is for God to be first....to be the FOCUS.....and everything else gets squeezed in around him. I don't want to just see God here and there I want to look through a God like lens at everything in my life and let everything filter through Him. He is the most important.....in all things.

Lead me in thy truth and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day.

I am reading a book my John Piper called don't waste your life. In it he quotes CS Lewis
I was standing today in the dark toolshed. The
sun was shining outside and through the crack at
the top of the door there came a sunbeam. From
where I stood that beam of light, with the specks
of dust floating in it, was the most striking thing in
the place. Everything else was almost pitch-black.
I was seeing the beam, not seeing things by it.
Then I moved, so that the beam fell on my
eyes. Instantly the whole previous picture
vanished. I saw no toolshed, and (above all) no
beam. Instead I saw, framed in the irregular cranny
at the top of the door, green leaves moving on the
branches of a tree outside and beyond that, 90 odd
million miles away, the sun. Looking along the
beam, and looking at the beam are very different
experiences.
John Piper continues..
The sunbeams of blessing in our lives are bright in and of themselves. they also give light to the ground where we walk. But there is a higher purpose for these blessings. God means for us to do more than stand outside them and admire them for what they are. Even more, he means for us to walk into them and see the sun from which they come. If the beams are beautiful, the sun is even more beautiful. God's aim is not that we merely admire His gifts, but, even more, His glory.
I want to walk my daily life immersed in Him....living every detail of my life through Him.....just focusing on Him.....
I am also holding onto this verse this year as we purpose as a family to get more of His word into our hearts.....
