Yarn Along

7:03 AM

I have not joined in the yarn along in almost 2 months.....wow! It's not that I stopped knitting....I was just caught up in the season and did not make time to get any posts up. Now things are slowing down and we have actually just gotten over dealing with the flu and all the fun that brings so I want to get back to these posts. I enjoy documenting my projects but what I love most about the yarn along are visiting everyone else's blogs and getting inspired to try new projects!

I knit a lot of gifts this past Christmas and had a lot of fun doing it! Hats and scarves mostly.....quick and fun! I want to share my most favorite knit......the adorable Poppy Hat!This hat is a quick knit, with a unique construction and did I mention it's free??? I will be knitting up many more of these in the future! Hannah Grace just loves hers and she gets compliments whenever she wheres it!

Hannah Grace's Poppy
She was just getting over being sick and it was so great to see these smiles! I also finished a shawl for myself, it's the Aestlight shawl and I have no pics yet because I need to block it. It's beautiful though and I think after blocking will really look lovely!

On my needles now is a new sweater for me......I had some ultrapima cotton in my stash and I have been wanting to knit up a spring cardigan and this one caught my eye! Vodka Lemonade.....I am only 3 rows in so not much to show yet!

I also want to knit my first pair of socks.....I have the yarn and the needles now so I hope to cast them on this week and get going......it's been on my want to learn list for a while!

I have been reading loads of books to Hannah Grace she is just loving to sit and be read too now.....and I have been so busy reading to the boys as well! I am looking for my next audio book....hmmm.....maybe someone in the yarn along has a good suggestion?? Can't wait to go look and see! Happy Knitting!!

I have the Vodka Lemonade in my queue so I'll be interested to see how you get on with it.
Good luck with your socks - they were the turning point (pun only slightly intended!) for me for being braver with knitting in general.
