Rainy day yarn along....

7:12 AM

Well two days ago it was -5 degrees and we were freezing......today it's raining and supposed to get up to 55 degrees! Crazy weather!!

My projects from last week are coming along......I'm almost up to dividing for the sleeves on my sweater and the socks only had a few rows added on as I decided to finish up another project that required some sewing.

Last month I saw some really cute felted hand bags and I was inspired to create my own. I am new to felting.....and oh boy is it fun!! I found this free pattern...Woolly Bully Bag and set out to make my bag. I used lambs pride which I was told felted great and it did!! I forgot to take a before pic but here is my finished project and I love it! Ravelry page here.

I finished the felting almost 3 weeks ago and have been putting off sewing the lining just because it takes a lot of work to lug out the machine and I was going to have to come up with how to do it on my own as their was no pattern for it. But this weekend the baby was napping and my hands were free so I went for it! I got adventurous and added a pocket as well! I covered a button in the fabric and sewed a magnetic clasp on the flap. Cute right!!

I've already seen my daughters eye on this so I might just have to make another!! I'm still listening to Jane Eyre on my iphone and really enjoying it! Joining Ginny today for the weekly yarn along! Happy Knitting!!

  7. The bag is beautiful, but I am distracted by the coziness of your first photo and the beautiful knit on the chair, I can't wait to see it complete.

  9. What a pretty bag! I'm impressed that you can just "whip up" a liner. I wouldn't even know how to begin with that.
