Well I got the yarn along post up yesterday but was not able to get back to get my gifts post up....Weds. is co-op day and then we also brought home a new addition to our family....(totally unplanned) but it's all good.....
here is the new addition....Daddy named him Loki after the Norse god that delights in upsetting the balance of the universe....
it's good to have a napping buddy!
so grateful for baskets of clean clothes......and lots of hands to help with folding!
chocolate chip muffins for breakfast.....yummy!
The weather has been just perfect for knitting! And it is getting to be just cool enough to begin wearing those knits as well!! I love fall...the colors.....the temperature and just the return to spending some time in the house....preferably knitting of course!
Here is a the picture I promised of Emily's birthday cowl.....love the color and I loved this yarn as well....so soft! Ravelry notes here.
I am just loving making little jumpers for Hannah Grace to wear....this one is actually supposed to be a vest but I just increased a little and lengthened so it could be worn as a jumper! Then I attempted to embroider a little lamb onto it.....I'm pretty happy with the way he came out and Hannah grace squeals when she sees him and loves to pet his nubby wool! Ravelry notes here
And then I started a new project.......I fell in love with this sweater...it's the Sibella Babe pullover and it's done in quince and co. chickadee. I have been wanting to order some quince and co. and so I decided to make Hannah Grace another little sweater. Now I stopped for a moment and asked myself.....can a baby have too many sweaters? Of course that thought fleeted right out of my head and I continued to order the yarn....the pattern and get started! Ravelry notes here
I know I am supposed to share my reading in these posts as well......but I really had no time this week, because when there was time I was knitting! It's a good excuse I think and so hopefully next week I will share some new reading!
Joining Ginny over at Small Things for the weekly Yarn Along....Happy Knitting!

I've decided to take this month to focus on the many gifts my Father in heaven sees fit to give me on a daily basis......I'm going to try to post on a daily basis. I have not been very good lately about making it to this spot for anything other than the weekly yarn along......so this might be a stretch for me but I want to try.
I used to count these gifts in a journal alongside Ann Voscamp and her many followers....I need to get back to that to focusing on those little blessings that make up my days.....it's those little things that matter and I want to remember them years from now.
I also want to better my photography skills....it's a passion of mine and I am challenging myself to take these photos of our ordinary days..... doing ordinary things........and thanking God for all of it!
So they are running a 31 days series over here at Nesting Place.......not sure if I will link up because this is really for me.......
So let's begin here.......a few glimpses of our weekend.....

This post is about endings and also about new beginnings! Because finishing projects always means the start of new ones...right!?!?!
I have missed the last two yarn alongs.......one week was because of vacation and the next was because of a baby that was teething and wanted to do nothing but be held......so I will catch you up on my knitting projects!
We had a 12 hour drive down to OBX for vacation and that my friends equals alot of knitting time!! Time to finish up on projects!! I finally finished my Mystery Shawl!!! And I love it!! Just in time too as the weather is getting quite chilly here!

I also finished up the babies leg warmers.....I think she needs these in every color!! Too cute!!
On vacation we hit the local yarn shop!! And of course I decided I needed some souvenir yarn to remind me of our trip.....my oldest daughter Emily has a birthday coming up and she picked out some yarn for a cowl she wants, it's this one, Heart Warmer . (which I actually just finished but it is blocking so I'll get photos next week!)
With the other projects done, I cast on for a pair of socks for me and a little jumper for Hannah Grace. I don't have pics of these projects yet but will share these cute photos of Hannah in her dress that I posted about last yarn along..... I am loving these knit jumpers on her.....so warm and cute!!
No new reading this week.....So excited to head over to Ginny's Yarn Along and see what everyone else is knitting these days!!
