It's a Birthday yarn along!
4:42 PM
Joining Ginny over at small things for the weekly yarn along....sharing our knitting projects and latest reads!
That's right! Hannah Grace turned a year old on Monday! I can not believe it! The past year just flew by and with it my littlest sweetie is now one. Still a peanut at only 17 pounds 6 1/2 ounces.....my other babies were well over 20 lbs at this point...
And of course we can not have a special one year Birthday without a special cupcake hat made just for the occasion!!! I loved knitting this and I love it even more on her! This was fast an easy...I decided to make it on Saturday and all I had left to do was the cherry Sunday morning before church! So fun!!
The dress she wore was special as well.......made for my oldest daughter on her first Birthday 18 years ago by my Mom! She looked adorable!
Also coming off the needles this past week was a crocheted hat with a cute flower.....perfect for the upcoming spring! Also a very quick and easy project.
Another project that I started and will probably be picking up and putting down until it's done is a pinwheel blanket for Hannah Grace as well. This is something I can work on without thinking too much and in between other more involved projects! I'm loving the colors!
Again I have nothing new to share in the reading area.......when things slow down around here I do have a little pile of books I'd like to get through......soon! But I also have a list of favorites on ravelry that are just waiting to be made......I love casting on for a new project don't you!!?? Happy Knitting!!!

My little Sweetpea was only 17lbs at a year and for the longest time wasn't going beyond 18lbs. God makes them in all shapes and sizes :) Thanks for stopping by on my blog and for the encouragements :)
ReplyDeleteHappy happy birthday! All the photos of her are adorable especially in the cupcake hat :)
ReplyDeleteShe's a living doll! Love the hat... great work! My daughter is 14 and she still loves the pinwheel my mom knitted for her before she was born. Hope your little one loves hers!
ReplyDeleteThe cupcake hat is way too cute and I love the little hat with the flower! Wouldn't mind having one like that for myself! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little girl in her knitted hats. Tea and knitting? Great together (even if I'm more of a coffee girl).
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty projects! and a cute little one too :)
